At CareLineLive, we continually improve our platform to make managing home care simpler, smoother, and smarter. Our latest update brings new features, performance boosts and fixes, all designed to save you time and keep your operations running seamlessly.

Here’s what’s new this month.

Announcements in the Carer Companion App

You can now send announcements directly to teams of carers or office staff through the Carer Companion App.

This is perfect for sharing quick updates, such as roadworks, shift cover requests, or reminders. Everyone stays informed without the need for multiple calls or emails.

Note: Announcements can be sent to teams, not individuals, helping keep communication efficient and relevant.

Assign the same form multiple times

Forms just got more flexible. You can now assign the same form template multiple times to a client or carer.

Previously, you had to duplicate or rename forms to reuse them, or delete assignments and lose data. Now it’s easy to reuse forms as needed, saving time and avoiding unnecessary admin.

Roster: Planned vs actual

There’s a new toggle in the Roster that lets you switch between planned and actual arrival or departure times.

This gives managers instant insight into how planned schedules match up with real-world visits, helping improve accuracy and accountability.

Reports: New options and faster performance

Our reporting suite is now more powerful than ever. Here’s what’s new:

  • New “Suspended Visits” report – track and manage paused or cancelled visits
  • New “Booking Tasks” report – view all scheduled tasks in one place
  • Excel export added to the Task Completions report
  • Custom fields now appear in Client Addresses and Reviews reports
  • Improved performance across Booking Tasks, Client Reviews, and Suspended Visits reports

Leave and payroll: More flexibility

You can now override hours per day and hourly rates for carer leave periods, giving you greater flexibility when managing exceptions or special circumstances.

No more manual corrections later – just smooth, accurate payroll.

Integrations: Expanding local authority support

We’ve strengthened interoperability to support even more local authorities:

  • Bolton and Leicestershire ContrOCC integrations
  • Leicester City Council master performance reports

That means faster data sharing and fewer manual uploads for teams working with these councils.

Core and general improvements

A few behind-the-scenes updates that make a big difference:

  • API updates: filter on carer leave and new user endpoints (see docs)
  • User profiles: carers can now view accepted agreements
  • File uploads: stricter validation for safer data handling
  • Improved messages for contract rules and exports
  • Removed “stroke” from the profanity filter (finally!)

Bug fixes

We’ve cleared a huge list of issues across the system. Some highlights include:
