Rosie, from New Age Care, won our December Star Carer award as she is extremely hard working, always completes tasks to a high standard and has had some great feedback from clients and carers. She always goes the extra mile and is completely committed to what she does. She is extremely caring and is described by her manager as the star of New Age Care.

Thanks for all your hard work and dedication Rosie, and congratulations on being CareLineLive’s December Star Carer!

What was your reaction to winning CareLineLive’s December Star Carer Award?

I was surprised and happy, I was grateful for being nominated and thankful to work with a great care company who recognise the hard work and dedication carers put in.

What aspects of being a carer do you enjoy?

I love my job in general – I have done the job for 6 years and it’s a pleasure to help my clients and make a difference to their day. I enjoy getting to know my clients on a personal level and working as a team with other carers.

How does CareLineLive’s Carer Companion App help you in your job?

Yes it’s helpful as I can see where I am each day and it makes my day run a lot smoother. It’s easy to use and it gives me updates on all changes.

What’s are the challenges in your role?

The hard thing is seeing clients in difficult situations, when their health declines, or when they could not see their families during the pandemic.

The time you spend with clients goes quickly – so it’s sad to leave – you always wish you can stay longer.

How do you switch off after a hard day at work?

I have a 4-year-old so I look after him. When I do get the time, I enjoy having a relaxing bath and getting into a TV series.
