Stay secure and streamlined: New authentication and communication features at CareLineLive
At CareLineLive, we’re constantly evolving to meet the needs of home care providers. We know that security, efficiency and clear communication are critical to running a successful care business. That’s why we’re excited to announce several new features designed to give you more control and peace of mind: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO) and enhanced Email Configuration options.
Enhanced security with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Protecting sensitive information is vital. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an additional layer of protection by requiring two forms of verification before a user can log in. Even if a password is compromised, unauthorised access is much less likely.
CareLineLive now supports three MFA options:
TOTP (Time-Based One-Time Password) – Recommended for highest security. Use apps like Google Authenticator
SMS Authentication – Receive a single-use passcode via text message
Recovery Codes – A backup method provided during setup for emergency access
With MFA, your business benefits from stronger security, improved compliance and added reassurance that only the right people can access your systems.
Simplified access with Single Sign-On (SSO)
Managing multiple logins can be frustrating for staff and time-consuming for managers. Our new SSO feature allows your team to access CareLineLive using their existing workplace credentials, such as the same login they use for email or internal systems.

SSO reduces login fatigue, improves access control and streamlines onboarding/offboarding, making life easier for both your team and IT support.
Smarter email configuration
We’ve introduced a flexible new way to manage your outgoing email communications: custom “Reply-To” addresses.
What is the “Reply-To” Email Address?
This is the email address that responses will be directed to when someone replies to a system-generated notification from CareLineLive. By default, we use the email linked to the team that sent the message. Now, you can override this to route replies to a specific inbox, tailored by:
- Team
Notification category
Why customise the “Reply-To” address?
Streamlined communication – direct queries to the right teams

Enhanced efficiency – get responses to the right people faster
