Discover the power of the Global Search feature in CareLineLive
We’re excited to highlight a simple but powerful feature that’s now available in CareLineLive – the Global Search function. Designed to save you time and make navigation easier, this feature helps you get where you need to go, faster.
What is Global Search?
Global Search is a new magnifying glass icon located in the top left corner of your Management Portal, right next to the three-stripe menu. With it, you can search and jump straight to specific client information, carers, or key pages in just a couple of clicks.
No more clicking through multiple menus to find what you need, just start typing and go.
What can you do with Global Search?
Search for clients or carers by name
Go directly to client journals or agendas
Use quick-select options to jump to Alerts, Roster, Concerns as well as creating a new Client or Carer
Save time navigating between key parts of the system
For example, if you want to check a client’s journal, just type their name, select the journal option, and you’ll land on the correct page in seconds.
Why this matters
Home care teams are busy and every second counts. Whether you’re on the phone with a client or reviewing care records, the Global Search feature cuts down on time spent navigating, so you can focus on what matters most: delivering high-quality care.
If you haven’t tried it yet, give the Global Search a go. It’s a small change that can make a big difference to your daily workflow.
Smarter email
Ever hit reply to an automated update only to wonder if your message actually reached the right person?
That’s the problem our new custom Reply-To addresses solve.
Now, instead of replies getting lost in a general inbox, you can direct responses straight where they belong, whether that’s rota updates to scheduling, visit reminders to care teams, or family alerts to the right support staff.

New ContrOCC integrations
We have added additional ContrOCC integrations for CareLineLive with Bolton, Leicestershire and Wirral Councils. Please speak to the support team if you would like any more information on this.
Announcements in the Carer Companion App
You can now send messages out to teams of carers (or office staff) via the app. This is particularly useful for messages such as information about roadworks or asking if someone can cover a shift. Note that you can’t send individual messages out – only to teams.
Forms: Assign a template multiple times
A form can now be assigned multiple times to the same client/carer. Previously, you either had to delete the form assignment which was not recommended as data would be lost, or you had to duplicate the form, name it something different and then assign the new ‘same form, different name’.
