Meet the team: UK General Manager James Frampton

Meet James Frampton, Evaran’s UK General Manager, on freeing up time for frontline carers, why he joined and his unlikely cereal box party trick.
14th October 2026

James Frampton is the new General Manager (MD) for Evaran (and CareLineLive) in the UK. We thought we’d take a little time to get to know him.

What does the UK General Manager do?

Companies like Evaran are not going to transform the care sector on their own, but what we can do is make things a little easier for the people running care organisations and for the care teams doing an incredibly demanding and often under-appreciated job. As UK GM that’s what I’ll be building on, with the years of experience from CareLineLive.

Describe a typical day

Lots of learning right now! Learning how our teams work together, learning what is important to our customers providing care and seeing how we can drive our focus forward to truly deliver a connected care experience.

Why did you join Evaran?

One of the things that appealed to me about Evaran was the chance to help shape a business where technology can make a genuine difference to the day-to-day experience of people working in, and receiving, care. Social care in the UK is more than an Ideal Customer Profile or a target market. It has become part of the national conversation, and rightly so. I’m sure many people reading this will know someone who has needed care in the past, or is receiving it today, and will understand some of the worry and anxiety that can come with that.

Best part of the job

I can see how we have made a difference to our customers providing care to their clients, and seeing how we can take it that little bit further without losing sight why we exist.

Worst part of the job

Teams calls or meetings that don’t drive a valuable outcome.

What do you most enjoy about working for Evaran?

Someone said this to me the other day, and I liked it. ‘We are not a technology company, we are a care company that uses technology to provide better care’. That sums up all the good things I have seen in my first 60 days.

What is something that people in home care have to deal with that you want to help fix?

Freeing up time for people on the front line to deliver exceptional care.

Surprising or a fun fact about you

If you know the cereal box game, despite my general state of flexibility and fitness, I am able to pick up the final piece of the box with my mouth! However, this typically means I can’t walk for a week afterwards!
